The Ostok House
THE PROJECT
The project is based on the organic shape of a cylinder,
we want to make an interpretation about the feeling that
this dynamic construction that curves produce,
the movement, the satisfaction of a new way o f living.
With the objective of pursuit new frontiers in style and
design ,the Ostok House as we decided to named it ,includes
all these aspects and characteristics but also not forgetting
to provide flexible ,reusable and mobile housing at a
very low price .Inside we wanted to give a little tour
by joining each module so that the different areas
could be assigned by giving each some comfort and
a touch of elegance.
Ostok comes from the Mexica word which means “cave”, we decided to give this name as a sample of the culture and tradition of our country. That is also t
he reason why each shows some of Jorge Tellaeches design, a Mexican artist from Tijuana to give the distinction touch and guarantee that this
project is 100% Mexican.
Is built in modules are made up of concrete tubes used in Mexico as sewage pipes. It can be transported and assembled in situ.
The foundations and the structure are independent for each module, as are the domestic water distribution, the availability of electricity and sewage pipes.
In the interior they are connected by bridges made of wood like the floor of the house.
